Once the cause has been identified, we will figure out what needs to be repaired and which parts (if any) would need to be replaced. In most cases, the more economical option is to repair the appliance. 


However, if the cost of the repair is more than its worth, then we would recommend purchasing a new appliance. This is typically the case for older appliances, so if that refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, stove top, or oven is over 10-15 years old, then it may be time to consider a new unit. This is not to say that an older appliance cannot be affordably repaired to last several more years, but we have generally seen that the replacement parts for older units are usually harder to find and lower in supply, which drives up the cost of spare/replacement parts.
